Fanning Goes to "Wonderland"

Dakota Fanning, the talented ten year old actress from such flicks as "Man on Fire", "Trapped", "I Am Sam", "Uptown Girls", "The Cat in the Hat" and the Steven Spileberg mini-series "Taken" looks to be teaming again with the people behind that sci-fi TV movie series for a new project.
The Hollywood Reporter indicates Fanning is close to a deal to topline her own potential franchise in adaptations of Lewis Carroll's famed child novels "Alice in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass" adapted by Les Bohem for DreamWorks.
Bohem, Spilberg and Fanning worked together previously on "Taken", and Bohem came up with the idea to adapt Carroll's classic novels and immediately pitched it to Steven Spielberg with Fanning in mind to play Alice. No word yet on what form these adaptations will take form in although the tale has been done and redone on the big and small screens well over a dozen times already.
