켄 로치의 새 영화 Ae Fond Kiss의 예고편입니다.

영화는 글라스고우의 파키스탄 이민 2세 무슬림인 카짐과 카톨릭 학교 음악 선생인 로쉰이 사랑에 빠지면서 벌어지는 일이랍니다. 쿨한 나이트 클럽 디제이인 카짐은 가족이 정해준 얼굴도 못 본 파키스탄의 사촌과 결혼을 앞두고 있고, 결혼 약속이 아니더라도 백인 여자를 절대 받아들이지 않을 부모가 있습니다. 카톨릭인 로쉰도 자기가 속한 동네에서 별로 환영을 받지 못하구요. 서로 다른 문화권 때문에 괴로와 하는 요즘 젊은이들 얘기인데, 켄 로치가 어떻게 얘기를 펼치는지 궁금하네요.

* 저는 파키스탄 2세들이 쓰는 글라스고우 억양이 좋더군요. 그러고 보니 해리 포터 4편에서 초 창 역을 맡은 애도 스코틀랜드에서 나고 자란 홍콩 이민 2세라 스코틀랜드 억양으로 얘기하겠더라구요. 영화에서 어떻게 나올지는 몰라도.
