According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dimension has bought the remake rights to RYEONG (THE GHOST), a supernatural horror film by director Tae-Kyeong Kim. The movie, a box-office hit this past summer in its home country, is about an amnesiac teenager who comes to realize that she is connected to a series of murders by a revenge-seeking spirit. Roy Lee, Doug Davison and Sonny Mallhi of Vertigo Entertainment, a specialist in remaking Asian horror (its credits include THE RING and the upcoming THE GRUDGE, DARK WATER and THE RING 2), will produce. —Michael Gingold
