니콜라스 케이지는

연기하는 과정에서 다른 배우들이 안 해 볼 시도를 한다는 생각이 <넥스트>보면서 들더라고요, 다른 배우들이라면 통상적으로 갔었을 것도 이 배우는 다르게 해 보려고 한다고 하는 느낌이 듭니다. 짐 캐리가 케이지를 두고 헐리우드에서 유일하게 실험이란 걸 하는 인간이라고 말한 적 있는데 이런 점을 두고 하는 말인가 싶기도 하고요. 제가 제일 좋아하는 케이지 영화는 <아리조나 유괴사건 Raising Arizona>. 스콜세지가 감독하고 케이지가 당시 결혼했던 패트리샤 아퀘트와 나온 <비상근무>도 좋아합니다. 이 영화는 별로 언급되는 것 같지 않아요.

There are slight cosmetic differences between the two: Charlie usually needs a shave, Donald has a little more hair. But the real reason we can tell the twins apart, even when they're in the same trick shot, comes from within: Cage can tell them apart. He is always Charlie when he plays Charlie, always Donald when he plays Donald. Look and see.”
